It is a requirement that the registrant of a .au domain name must maintain current eligibility details for their domain name. For example, the registrant must ensure that their company or business name remains registered for the period of their domain name registration.
Complaints about incorrect registrant eligibility details are handled under the Complaints (Registrant Eligibility) Policy (2004-01), and must be lodged with the registrar of record for the domain name.
To find out the registrar of record for a domain name, use the public WHOIS service.
The purpose of the auDRP is to provide a cheaper, speedier alternative to litigation for the resolution of disputes between the registrant of a .au domain name and a party with legal rights in the domain name.
auDRP complaints must be lodged with one of the approved dispute resolution service providers.
More information about the auDRP is available here.
