New 2LDs Advisory Panel - Call for Nominations

auDA invites people with an interest in Australian (.au) domain name industry issues to nominate for the New 2LDs Advisory Panel.

The purpose of the New 2LDs Advisory Panel is to:

  • evaluate proposals for new second level domains (2LDs) in the .au domain space;
  • consider proposals for the reactivation of conf.au and info.au; and
  • provide recommendations to the auDA Board, following a public consultation process.

Membership of the Panel is voluntary. The estimated timeframe to complete all the Panel’s work is approximately 6-8 months (one meeting per month). The Panel is expected to commence work in early 2010.

The Terms of Reference for the Panel will be published at a later date.

People who would like to nominate for the Panel should submit a completed Panel Nomination Form to auDA's Chief Policy Officer Jo Lim by email to jo.lim@auda.org.au or fax 03 8341 4112.

The closing date for nominations is Monday 30 November 2009.
