Some auDA accredited registrars use resellers to provide customer sales and services. Resellers buy domain names and manage domain name records for their customers through an interface with their registrar. Resellers do not have direct access to AusRegistry.
auDA does not accredit or approve resellers, but is notified when a registrar appoints a reseller. auDA maintains a public Reseller Search Tool for people to look up the names of resellers that have been appointed by a registrar.
The conduct of resellers is regulated via their registrar. Resellers operate under an agreement with their registrar; this agreement must include minimum terms and conditions to ensure that the reseller complies with auDA Published Policies and the Code of Practice.
auDA held a Reseller Policy Review in October 2003.
