The question that you should be asking is "Why *should* they be lifted?". I doubt that there is any reason other than commercial exploitation. The introduction of the community 2LDs is a good thing but the majority of users will not know about them and will likely wander unintentionally to the commercial sites. At the very least, if the commercialisation of those names are allowed, regulations should be imposed upon the users of those names requiring the home pages of the site to clearly state the purpose of the site and provide a prominent link to the relevant community site if such a site exists. The sites must also be prevented from delivering any political or potentially offensive content. Violation of these rules should result in immediate cancellation of the registration and deletion of the DNS records. My 2c, Dave Hodgman.
