Our only objection to the WHOIS data is to prevent the listing of an email address. Why? Because SPAMMER's (mainly US and other countries) are harvesting this information and adding them to SPAMMING lists. We have proof of this because we have changed the registrant email multiple times and eventually they get on the list again. The email address of WHOIS should only be used for reminder notices or any other domain related information. It should not be visible to the generate public. A way of implementing this feature would be a "contact form" (on the main registry etc) that if a person of the public wants to contact a domain owner the submit form would relay the message through to the registrant. Thus allow a message to go through but not revealing the email address. Regards, Warren Huisman Senior Project Manager Datasearch Pty Ltd
