My thoughts are: a) geographic places and therefore names are unique and therefore require special consideration. b) geographic places are communities of people, organisations and places of interest (geography, flora, fauna etc) I conclude that any use of geographic domain names should benefit all constituents of a geographic place and therefore should only (if ever) be allowed to be registered by entities who support a geographic place/community In considering who therefore should be allowed to register geographic domain names I can only agree with councils and/or government organisations being allowed to register. I do not believe that any corporation and or individual would have a bona fide reason, and even if they did, that they could over time adequately regulate the use of the domain name to benefit a geographic place or community rathe than their own self-interest. I you would like to further ask questions please email. Regards Scott O'Mahoney
