Jo,

A general comment in relation to the code of practice, I have no evidence 
to suggest that this is a continuing practice (after July 1 2002) but 
we come across numerous domains where the contact records are incorrect.

That is, the registrants name, address, etc is correct but the supplied 
email address (for administrative contact) is that of a domain reseller.

Many registrants have trouble keeping records of their registry keys and 
the automated systems in place for recovering the keys only work where 
the email address is correct.

Is there any contractual obligation for registrars and their resellers to 
ensure that the contact records are as accurate as possible? is there any 
form of auditing carried out to prevent such a practice continuing?
