It seems to me that there is a re-occuring theme throughout many of them, which I am sure will make auDA see that the industry is (almost) all saying the same thing. "Get rid of the need for a registrant to approve an email in order for the transfer to go ahead." I understand the reasoning behind auDA's desire to ensure that the registrant is the one who is in charge of the transfer, hence they reply to the email. A valid point that has been made by other commenting on this topic so far is that the person with the domain password can easily alter the email address anyway, and proceed with the transfer. We have seen cases of this happening already. I fully support a change in policy such that a transfer can be completed by supplying the domain password for the domain. There is policy already for who can have the password issued and this stands to ensure that the registrant is the person who is able to access this password. The other major topic of discussion in the comments was the new 2 year period for transfers. If there was to be a change here it should be that it is cumulative rather than loosing the current period of time, more in line with the gTLD environment. Thanks for my 2 cents.
