From: Tim Payne Sent: Tuesday, 27 February 2001 11:35 To: comments@auda.org.au Subject: Public submission re. naming policy papers Dear Sir or Madam, We wish to submit a public opinion, regarding the current AUDA policy of "one domain name per company". Please forward to the appropriate department, before the 16 March deadline. We strongly disagree with the current regulations, and heartily endorse what we believe to be the expert panel's recommendations: That one company can register more than one .com.au domain name simultaneously, as long at it meets other standing conditions. e.g. We currently have the ABBREVIATION "exedges.com.au" registered, but now can not register the ACTUAL company name "excellentedges.com.au". Frankly, this is ridiculous. Thank you very much for your time and effort on our behalf. Carl Turney A.D. B.S. G.D. M.A. General Manager Excellent Edges Bladesmiths
