International Activities

auDA represents the interests of the .au domain space and the broader Australian Internet community at a number of international fora.



ICANN is the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.  It is a US-based company that manages the global DNS. 

auDA is a member of ICANN's Country Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO).  auDA staff and directors regularly attend ICANN meetings to participate in international DNS policy development.



auDA is a member of APTLD, the Asia-Pacific Top Level Domain Association.  It is an organisation for ccTLDs located in the Asia Pacific region.

Paul Szyndler, auDA's GM International and Government Affairs, is currently a member of the APTLD Board.



auDA is an associate member of CENTR, the Council of European Top Level Domain Registries. It serves as the European ccTLD organisation.

auDA is an active participant in the IGF, the United Nations' Internet Governance Forum. The IGF is the leading global multi-stakeholder forum on public policy issues related to Internet governance.
