Domain Synchronisation is when you change the expiry date of a domain licence by reducing the licence term to ensure it renews on the same date as other domain names you hold.

This can be useful if you have multiple domain names to manage.

For example:

  • 1stexample.com.au expires on February 14, 2022
  • 2ndexample.com.au expires on March 23, 2022
  • 3rdexample.net.au expires on November 17, 2023

To synchronise these domain names you would reduce the license term of 2ndexample.com.au and 3rdexample.com.au to February 14, 2022.

Your registrar can help you to synchronise your .au domain licences.

Note that you are not entitled to a refund of your licence fee if you choose to synchronise your domains.
