The 78th Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers meeting (ICANN78) was held in Hamburg, Germany during October.

ICANN78 is a key event in the multi-stakeholder internet governance calendar. Members of the auDA team participated alongside representatives of the Australian Government and members of the Australian internet community.

auDA is pleased to invite you to the launch of its third Digital Lives of Australians research report, an exploration into the online experiences of Australian consumers and small businesses.

This year’s report explores Australians’ use of and readiness to adopt emerging technologies such as AI and the metaverse.  

The research aims to improve industry understanding of Australians’ online activities and promote better digital policy and practical improvements for Australians. 

We invite you to be a part of this interactive session where we will discuss proposed minor administrative changes to the .au Licensing Rules and provide you an opportunity to ask questions.  We will discuss the review and consultation process and how the proposed changes impact the operation of the rules. 

With an overriding mission of making the internet work better, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is the premier standards development organisation (SDO) for the internet. The IETF makes voluntary technical standards for internet users, network operators and equipment vendors, and thus helps shape the trajectory of the internet’s evolution.

There is no membership in the IETF. Anyone can participate by signing up to a working group mailing list or by registering for an IETF meeting. All IETF participants are considered volunteers and participate as individuals.
