With the theme "Building Trust in an Online Future", auDA's upcoming panel discussion will consider a range of topics impacting our digital future including:

  • The role of regulations and policies in an online future
  • The role of transparency and privacy in building trust online
  • The increasing dangers of cyber-crime
  • Ethical considerations around data usage and collection
  • The ways new technology can be leveraged to ensure trust is enhanced in an increasingly online world

This event will be moderated by Michael Bromley, Stone and Chalk's Chief Executive Officer. Michael has a diverse background in digital, innovation, and financial services and is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies and supporting the growth of critical industries to create a better future for Australia.

Meet the Panelists:

Rosemary Sinclair AM

Rosemary Sinclair AM is CEO of auDA, the administrator and self-regulatory policy body for Australia’s country code Top Level Domain, the .au domain. Rosemary has a distinguished record in the telecommunications, technology, energy and education sectors, driving transformation, high performance and advocacy.

Sushmita Ruj

Sushmita Ruj is the Faculty of Engineering Lead at the UNSW Institute for Cybersecurity, IfCyber and Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, UNSW, Sydney. Her research interests are in applied cryptography, post-quantum cryptography, blockchains and data privacy. She is an Associate Editor of Transactions on Information Forensics and Security. She is a senior member of ACM and IEEE.

Kim Lowton

Kim has worked in the Australian domain name industry since 2005, across 15 different .au accredited registrars in a variety of roles as the .au registrar landscape has evolved over time. With a degree in internet communications from Curtin University, she is passionate about the intersection of people and the online environment. She is currently a member of the TASC, providing feedback to the auDA board on technology matters.
