About auDA

.au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) is Australia’s country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) administrator, which oversees the operation and management framework of the .au domain of the internet. It is part of Australia’s critical infrastructure, and we have been endorsed by the Commonwealth Government to ensure it is a secure, accessible and trusted Australian public asset for all internet users. auDA represents Australia’s interests internationally and has an agreement with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).  Further information on auDA is available at www.auda.org.au.

The opportunity 

Reporting to the auDA Board, the auDA CEO leads a unique organisation tasked with ensuring Australia’s internet is a secure, accessible and trusted Australian public asset for all users. The future is about the challenge of a constantly changing environment in which the internet may well be markedly different. These changes are driven by technology / digital developments as well as the political, economic, and societal environment that impact the use of the internet locally and globally. The CEO works in a multi-stakeholder context in Australia and overseas. The auDA staff of 57 comprise technical, communications and policy specialists who interact with members, government, industry, the commercial sector, academia and civil society. 

About you 

The auDA CEO will be an engaging leader who is authentic and credible with auDA’s stakeholders, building positive and constructive partnerships. High quality candidates will be strategic thinkers who can also implement and lead with an innovative mindset. They will be clear and fluid communicators who provide clarity of purpose, and lead by example. They will provide collegiate leadership for and role model auDA’s values. There will be evidence of their resilience, a high level of integrity, strong governance, decisiveness, inclusiveness, and consistency. They need to have a strong grasp of auDA’s context.
