The auDA Board is consulting on changes to Schedule A of the .au Domain Administration Rules: Licensing (.au Licensing Rules).
Schedule A contains the rules that a person or entity must satisfy to apply for a domain name licence in the edu.au namespace. The proposed changes were recommended by the edu.au Advisory Committee (EAC) and are administrative in nature, including tidying up some key definitions in Schedule A.
The EAC is an Advisory Committee to the auDA Board. The EAC provides advice and recommendations to the auDA Board on issues related to the edu.au namespace, including recommendations for changes to the .au Licensing Rules to ensure the utility and sustainability of the edu.au namespace.
auDA is undertaking a multi-stakeholder review of the proposed administrative changes to Schedule A by publishing them on the auDA website for public consultation. auDA is keen to receive feedback from the public on the proposed changes.
To inform public consultation, auDA has published:
- A redline version of Schedule A of the .au Licensing Rules showing the proposed changes.
- An explanatory statement explaining the proposed changes.
Please note that all submissions will be published on our website, unless you ask us to keep your submission private. auDA reserves the right to redact or decline to publish the submission where it includes inappropriate content such as potentially defamatory material. We will advise you if such as decision is made.
