auDA has appointed an external Policy Advisory Panel to undertake a review of the .au Domain Administration Rules: Licensing (.au Licensing Rules). auDA periodically reviews the .au Licensing Rules so they reflect community expectations and remain effective over time.
The Panel will host a virtual town hall on Thursday 27 November to introduce the .au Licensing Rules Review process and the Policy Advisory Panel members. This will also be an opportunity to learn about:
- Key issues that have been identified by the Panel as part of previous public consultation
- The process to get involved and make submissions.
On 11 December 2025 the Panel will hold another virtual town hall event to discuss in more detail the individual issues that have been identified so far, and to hear about any additional issues that are proposed.
Background
This virtual town hall forms part of extensive multi-stakeholder engagement by the Policy Advisory Panel in 2025 and 2026. Consultation outcomes will help to form recommendations to the auDA Board on any proposed changes to the .au Licensing Rules as part of the Review.
The Panel’s multi-stakeholder engagement program will provide different avenues of engagement, including a webpage, virtual town halls, in person engagement events (details to be confirmed) and direct engagement with key stakeholders.
More information about the .au Licensing Rules Review can be found on the auDA website.
