Step up as a leader: The auDA Internet Governance Fellowship

Are you an APIGA Australia graduate and ready to take your passion for internet governance to the next level? The auDA Internet Governance Fellowship is your chance to make a genuine impact by turning knowledge into action within Australia’s digital landscape.
About the fellowship
This six-month program (April–September 2026) is designed exclusively for APIGA Australia alumni who are eager to deepen their involvement in internet governance and digital policy. As a Fellow, you’ll carry out hands-on research on a topic of your choice, tackling real-world challenges in areas such as internet governance, policy or the domain name system (DNS). The program enables you to apply your skills, expand your expertise and draw on your knowledge from APIGA Australia to actively contribute to Australia’s internet future.
Why apply?
This fellowship is more than a research project. It’s an opportunity to build on the foundation gained through APIGA Australia, and collaborate with mentors and peers to make an impact. If selected, you will:
- Advance your journey: Bridge the gap between foundational learning and hands-on impact through targeted research and active participation in the field.
- Make a difference: Address pressing issues in internet governance and present your findings at the auIGF 2026, Australia’s Internet Governance Forum. Your insights could help shape national policy and spark meaningful discussions.
- Grow your network: Receive one-on-one mentorship from auDA experts and connect with leaders from across the internet and digital ecosystem. Build relationships that will support your career well beyond the fellowship.
- Unlock opportunities: Enjoy potential access to events, workshops, and further networking activities, subject to available funding and relevance to your project.
